We have transitioned to the coast for the holiday week and it is foggy, drizzly, and dreary here. I miss the mountains and the clear blue skies.

Poor Grace had five teeth pulled on Friday. She was not a happy camper. I have never had a dog that need teeth brushing before, but I have one now! She won’t chew on anything so the tartar builds up. I bought a tooth care kit for her and when her gums heal we will start to brusha-brusha-brusha…

I bought a new game for the PSP-Liberty City. I am not very good at driving games and I have only completed 2%. The people in Liberty City are terrible drivers-reminds me of L.A.

Stock tip of the day-holiday time and volume will probably be light. I expect to sit tight on my holdings for the week and not do any trading. My positions are good going into the shopping season. If I had some free cash I would add to my small position in Altria-might still add a few shares. The price is low.

No pod news-I am away from my I-tunes so I can’t add anymore. Be sure to go to Podcast Alley and vote for your favs-vote often .

Oh, time for a small rant. What is with Microsoft? Tomorrow is the release of the X-box 360 and I checked with my local gamestore here on the coast(Gamestop-GME for you home gamers who want a good retail stock for Christmas) and they are only getting 24 systems in the first shipment. 24? They have 200 reservations! It will take them 2 months just to fill the reservation list. Is that the best Microsoft could do with all the advanced orders and knowing how many they would need. They couldn't make any more? What gives???? End of rant.

That’s all for now so keep your batteries charged!

First entry in my new blog…hmm. First off, I would like to explain the title of this blog. I wanted something that reflected my life, or my brain, if you will. I seem to have quite a jumble of interests and daily activities that run the gamut from fishing to trading on the stock market. I hope to share my insights into many areas and even comment from time to time on the fast-breaking news of Trinity Center-where I live. At this time I can’t think of any.

The highlight of today’s entry is the latest addition to my addictions-the Ipod.(ta-da!) I got my first (and second) Ipod in October 2005. I might be the last on my block to get one, but then again, I am probably the first, since I haven’t seen anyone with an Ipod in our community of 200 people.

This led me to podcasts-the wonderful, wacky world of ordinary people like me broadcasting their thoughts into cyberspace. Since I have been searching the ever-growing directory of podcasts for a couple of weeks, I have only found a handful of worthy podcasts. As I accumulate a list of favorites I will add them into the blender.

Today’s recommendation is the podcast that led me to create this blog-Top of the Pods. It is a daily show that averages 30 minutes during which two blokes from England, Jon and Rob, share a list of Top Ten items. The lists are either their own creation or a list submitted by a listener. The show is funny and also self-revealing. A recent list compiled the top ten things a person buys that gather dust. I found my self to be the proud owner of quite a few of those dusty items.

Anyhow-give it a listen and keep those batteries charged!
